| December 2020Selaginella uncinata | October 2020Maybe one the prettiest amblypygids species, but the biggest for sure! Acanthophrynus coronatus |
September 2020Eresus kollari frontalis, aka ladybird spider. A wonderful find during my trip in south of France. | August 2020I had a great pleasure to meet this species while a day off in Brittany (France). March 2020"Fascinating", i think this is the word i'd choose to describe them! | February 2020This month I left ten days with a friend in French Guiana to find animals and photograph them, and of course, simply enjoy! Among the animals we observed, there is one that I absolutely wanted to see, I could not leave without having seen, amblypygids obviously! I couldn't be more happy because we were able to explore and spend several hours in a cave that housed many specimens. A true happiness! | January 2020Details of an Heterophrynus sp. (amblypygi). Six images with a different focus have been used to make this one. By stacking those six images, the final picture has a larger depth of field, it is called "Focus stacking". |
December 2019Heteropoda davidbowie, it's the sweet name of this huntsman spider. She's a bit impressing by its voracity and mostly its speed! But it's a really good subject to photograph. | November 2019I published a photo book thanks to Saal Digital, at first it had to be a single copy, a try for me, just to see how it turned out. But when I shared the result of the book on social networks, it sparked a lot of interest to my surprise! And so, several people told me they were interested in buying a copy, incredible! I invite you to contact me if you are interested in purchasing a copy! | October 2019This one, you’ve probably seen in your house before! It's a very common spider that appreciates our interiors, it is called daddy long legs or cellar spider (Pholcus phalangioides). In this image it's a female carrying her cocoon (filled with eggs) with her cheliceras! |
August 2019Here we are again at this long-awaited moment. The kings come out of the forest to reach their places, where they will do everything to keep their females. It’s always an incredible period, hearing their strong roar in the night, the pressure and the chills, always the same emotions year after year. Then sometimes we get a chance to see them, it’s often fast, but sometimes they give us time to admire them, like this deer that I was able to observe for an hour and a half. | August 2019The view from the summit of La Berra, Switzerland. A beautiful sunrise with an incredible view all around La Berra, for me who comes from a very flat region, it's a dream! This view and this fantastic moment quickly made me forget the short night of four hours and despite the cold wind I didn’t want to go back down, I’m not used to seeing such a show! | July 2019Wasp spider (Argiope bruennichi). A pretty and common spider! Here it's a female with a male that will be her meal! |

A stunning specie who's coming from Asia, as the previous one (Ahaetulla prasina), and who's also opistoglyph (rear-fanged). This is an impressive specie because she's quite big, more or less two meters, and because of its defensive behavior, mouth open with the "S" shape. | Décember 2018 (2)Ahaetulla prasina, called "Asian vine snake", is a kind of vine snake, very thin and elongate. The head of the Ahaetulla is caracteristic, a long nose that we can compare to a TGV, and of course those eyes, with horizontal pupils. These snakes eats lizards mostly, it's an excellent hunter with an incredible vivacity. |
November 2018Chameleons are very known reptiles, but still really interesting, there is a lot species (most of them from Madagascar) with different morphology (some are as big as a finger, and others as big as a forearm, and both of them can be found in Madagascar, crazy no?). They all have this impressive tongue, powerful and very long! This is what i wanted to show in this picture. | October 2018 (2)Exceptionnally i have two images for this month, these are two very different pictures by their look, subjects, and type of photography.
